Wee "Claire" Annette - Shetland Sheepdog

4-3-86 - 2-24-01

Claire has gone to the rainbow bridge but, she was the most wonderful dog and will never be forgotten.  Claire is the one who got me started into everything and helped me become the trainer I am today.  She is the one who inspired me to train using all positives.

Claire - my soul mate - I'll always love you!

Second "Chance" For Barkley - Border Collie

Sadly, we lost Chance to an intestinal torsion 4-12-05.   As Chance had gotten older, we had to retire him from some of his favorite sports - Flyball, Herding, Soccer.  I was so worried he would age physically and not be able to do the things he wanted to (he was a puppy at heart!).  It was difficult to lose Chance when he had been in good health - he chased squirrels the morning we lost him.   I have no doubt he is chasing basketballs and squirrels while he waits for us at the rainbow bridge.

Wildfire "Charm" My Way - Border Collie

Charm has retired from the conformation ring but, she continues to rack up points in NAFA at an amazing rate - that girl loves her flyball!  We are also finally getting her on the road to her obedience titles.  Charm  finished her Companion Dog title with a score of 197 1/2,! and is now in training for Open Obedience

"Rally" the Troops - Mixed breed

This little guy was a rescue from Texas All Breed Rescue Group. Best we can guess he is a Jack Russell/Schnauzer cross. This guy is full of personality!  Rally is our little flyball munchkin.

Cooper's Little Yepa

"Keely" - Shetland Sheepdog

This is my little Sheltie girl. She is such a sweety!  Keely is in training for everything but, is still a bit shy in new places. She is doing great in flyball and continues her obedience training in hopes of showing next year.

Charmed Special Re"quest" - Border Collie

Here's Charm's baby! Quest is so much like her Momma - she has been fun to work with!  Quest has now run some in  flyball and is learning all the fun stuff now.

"Sprite" - White Bellied Caique

This is Sprite. This little guy is a nut. He is afraid of nothing and won't think twice before telling the dogs to back off - it's his turn! Just like all my other pets. Sprite is clicker trained - he'll target, dance, wave hello, and hang up side down like a bat "bat bird".

"Justin" -Brown Tabby Cat

Justin was saved "Just in time" by brave flyballer Mark Buehl.  During practice one night we noticed some stray dogs attack and shake a poor little kitty. Mark went out and save him.  I had planned to find this guy a home but, he was so sweet and affectionate we had to keep him. Justin is quite talented. He waves, meows on cue. goes to a bell, sits, stays and sits up.

"B.J. - Buddy for Justin

Well, it happened again. I fostered a litter of kittens and couldn't find a home for the last one.  I placed him with Justin for company and the two loved each other - looks like we have two kitties again!!

"Mesa" - BLM Mustang

Mesa was our first mustang to adopt.  She arrive in Feb. '03 at the age of 9 months.  Mesa is super friendly and is doing very well in her training.  We have begun riding her for short periods this summer - she is doing so well!

"Mystic" - BLM Mustang

Mystic is our newest mustang.  We adopted him in Pasadena in March. '04 at the age of 7 months.  Mystic is a bit more shy than Mesa but, is starting to come around.  He comes in from the pasture when called. We've made the most progress with this guy this year. We can now walk out into the pasture to halter him, groom him, handle all of his feet and even toss a saddle on him.

"Kit & Kaboodle" -Goats

These  little "kids" came from Knox Farm. What a hoot to watch them out in the pasture. Originally, We'd planned on them being pasture friends for Mesa (which they are... we just adopted another mustang since then)  The four of them now zoom the pasture each evening together - too cute!
